Hydra Dota 2 Team: Pioneers of Kyrgyzstan Esports

Hydra is Kyrgyzstan’s first-ever esports club, established in November 2021. Before the start of the new DPC season 2021-2022, the club assembled a Dota 2 team composed entirely of players from Kyrgyzstan. Notably, Hydra is known for their strong teamwork and tactical flexibility; as a result, they quickly made a name for themselves in the esports community, attracting top-tier players to join their ranks.

The Formation and Unique Playstyle of Hydra

Moreover, Hydra boasts an excellent understanding of Dota 2, coupled with a unique playstyle that truly sets them apart. The team includes some of the strongest players from Kyrgyzstan, such as dream`, Askold, Blizzy, Zayac, and Le don. Their first official match was in FRAG Season 7, where they emerged victorious with ease, showcasing their potential right from the start.

Early Achievements

In addition to their impressive debut, Hydra displayed great confidence in the Dota 2 Champions League 2021 Season 5 by securing third place in the group stage. During the playoffs, they first defeated HellRaisers, which further solidified their reputation. However, they ultimately lost to them in the lower bracket finals with a score of 0:2, finishing in third place overall.

Hydra’s Journey in 2022 and Beyond

As time progressed, Hydra Esports officially entered the Dota 2 scene in May 2022 with a roster that mixed experienced veterans and promising newcomers, including Dream, Worick, Cloud, Lefitan, and HappyDyurara. Their debut season in the Eastern Europe Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Division II saw significant victories, which ensured their spot in the highly competitive Division I for the 2022-23 DPC season.
